Life in the in-between

Hi! For some reason I scheduled myself four shifts in five days, oops! So I've been at the hospital a lot this week. However, I wanted to write a brief post about the bits of life between shifts and sleeping. If I'm not intentional about those "in-between" days, they seem to disappear. In the effort of working against that, here is what I've been up to:

Solo coffee dates at a new coffee shop. There are so many good coffee places here, we're almost at the point where we don't want to find another good coffee shop, and just stick to the ones we know are so good. Our list of favorites is about five- or six-long.

Ninety percent of me is a coffee girl, but I picked up some new chai at whole foods the other day and I'm really enjoying it as a more subtle pick-me-up.

Snuggling our friends' baby. I mean....look at her!

On my one night off of five, Nicholas and I stayed in for a date night!  We hung out on the couch, and for supper, we had gf corn muffins, spinach salads, and these thyme roasted sweet potatoes.

I went to a new-to-me farmer's market on Sunday with some sweet friends. The humidity and heat are best buddies here in Austin right now, so it was really hot, but worth it when this it what I brought home:

And we did a little reorganizing in the kitchen. Our apartment is very sparse, (maybe too sparse?), so we freshened it up a little.

I have a few new posts in the works, so I'll post more next week—thanks for being patient! I've had a few things on my mind that I'd love to share. And in the meanwhile, I'll share these words from Charles Spurgeon:

We shall never find happiness by looking at our prayers, our doings, or our feelings; it is what Jesus is, not what we are , that gives rest to the soul.
